Channel V visits Rock The Schools!
The 2013 tour has gone off with a bang in sunny QLD, with Robina High getting a visit from Channel V resident WTF presenters Carissa and Billy. The students had the privilege of the guys introducing the band live on stage and also partaking in the Q&A session, with the presenters sharing insights into how they made it in the music industry. If that wasn’t cool enough, the students all got to rock out with them to Bad Pony – TOTALLY AWESOME!

Microwave Jenny join Rock The Schools!
We're super excited about hitting Sydney next week and are pleased to announce we've secured Microwave Jenny to support Sheppard on our Sydney and Canberra leg. The awesome sounds of this Australian husband/wife duo Tessa and Brendon Boney, who describe their music as pop/folk/love, are completely independent, self managed touring musicians who pride themselves on the DIY nature of their career - WE CAN'T WAIT for them to be part of Rock The Schools 2013!

However, if you missed out on tickets, or festivals aren’t really your jam, or you just can’t get enough of the line-up (like us), then don’t forget to check out the side shows on sale at 9am Monday 13 May via www.secret-sounds.com.au
Sheppard continue to climb the ranks
Sydney and Melbourne should be gearing up for what will be an awesome couple of weeks with Sheppard joining the tour on the 16th May. Our resident indie pop group for 2013 are on the rise, albeit a quick one, with their infectious and catchy tunes making a steady name for these Brisbane kids far beyond their local scene.
As of today the group has charted at #7 on AIR Charts (Australian Independent Record Labels Association), making this bunch of guys and girls the first completely independent group to be listed since 90s favourites Savage Garden!
Now starting to take on artists like Pink, Bruno Mars, Pitbull, Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown and Rhianna, having also been recently included in the top 40 National Radio Airplay Chart. We feel so lucky to have them touring with us, and to have the chance to rock out with them up close and personal before they take off and continue to make their Aussie fans proud!
