Bands that have previously played Rock the Schools include Operator Please, Amy Meredith and The Cassette Kids. Many of the Rock the Schools bands have gone on to great success – signing to major record labels,  releasing albums and receiving national airplay on radio stations such as 2Day FM and Nova. Read on to see which bands have played in the past!

2010:

  • Finabah – These guys are playing a show at the Annandale on May 1 (All Ages) and have a new track called “Killing For Bad Dreams” available for free download at http://finabah.bandcamp.com/. They are also in the top ten for the Nova FM ‘I Am With The band’ competition to fill our fourth tour spot for this year!
  • Cassette Kids – They havn’t been up to too much since last year, however they are in New York supporting Kids of 88 for some shows at the moment.
  • The Violet Flames – Their new album “The Moment” was released earlier this year.

2009:

  • The Take – These guys are currently writing new material.
  • Claire Clarke – Hasn’t been up to too much.
  • Stone Parade – They are playing at the ‘Down The Park’ festival in Cronulla on April 2. The boys are also preparing for a Canadian Music Festival!

2008:

  • Van She – Havn’t been up to too much, but they released a remixed version of ‘V’ back in 2009.
  • Amy Meredith – Their first studio album ‘Restless’ (2010) peaked at #8 on the Australian charts, kick off their “Higher Education” tour starting next month and are on the ‘Flood Relief’ CD to help the people of North Queensland.
  • Dash and Will – They were featured in the February 2010 issue of www.themusicnetwork.com Magazine and debut album “Up In Something” came out in August 2009.
  • FastCREW – Unfortunately these guys split up in late 2008.

2007:

  • Oh Mercy – Have a new album “Great Barrier Grief” out now and touring from now until May.
  • Skybombers – Released album “Take Me To Town” in 2008 and they are currently touring America.
  • Operator Please – Released album “Gloves” last year and peaked at #20 on the Australian charts.

2006:

  • Goodnight Nurse – Unfortunately they have split up.
