Rock The Schools is very excited to introduce you to the bands joining the 2010 tour.
Kicking off in May, Sydney’s Cassette Kids will be opening the tour with their blend of electro pop. Cassette Kids have been busy working on their first full length album, Nothing On TV, set for release in 2010. The success of their mini album We Are saw Cassette Kids tour with Lily Allen, The Presets and The Ting Tings, as well as gracing the 2008 Big Day Out stage. With frontwoman Katrina Noorbergen’s infectious energy bouncing off the stage and into every audience, we welcome Cassette Kids to Rock The Schools 2010.
Finabah have made a name for themselves in their home state of Queensland, and now it’s time for the rest of Australia to listen. The four piece pop-rock act won the 2009 New Artists 2 Radio Initiative competition (rock category) for their track Everyone Jump (When They Tell You How High), and we’re sure there will be many toes tapping and heads nodding when they rock the schools next year.

Taking on the third tour leg, The Violet Flames are ready to inflict their unique rock sound on teens everywhere. After forming in Perth and gigging solidly, the boys earned a support slot for Bon Jovi in front of thirty thousand people and traveled with the Australian Defence Force to entertain troops in Afghanistan. Now based in Melbourne, The Violet Flames have just launched their second EP and are looking forward to releasing an album mid next year.
